update on Sydney Grey

Have heard that Sydney is home but no other news about her condition. Thanks so much for your prayers.

Prayers needed

  Sydney Grey, 13 year old granddaughter of Caroline and Gene Nelson, is in urgent need of prayer. She has serious respiratory problems and is being moved by ambulance from Montgomery to Children's Hospital in Birmingham today,(Tuesday).
Please add her to your prayer list daily plus keep her in your prayers everytime you go to God with your special prayers many times during the day.
  Also keep Caroline and Gene, along with Sydney's parents in your prayers as they go through this with Sydney.

 Please keep Hope and the family in your prayers.  Dennis will be missed but he is with our Heavenly Father now.

"My sweetheart passed into the arms of Jesus at 9:32 am in Birmingham's Brookwood Hospital."

Prayers needed

Dennis Jinks is in ICU at Brookwood Medical Center in B'ham. Granddaughter Sarah made following post few minutes ago: Sarah posted 4 minutes ago: We need prayers immediately. Not only for Grandad and our family but for all of the physicians and nurses working so hard to heal him. He is in septic shock and is now on the ventilator. Kidneys are struggling and blood is poisoned. Our prayer needs right now are that they get him stable enough to preform gallbladder surgery ASAP as that is where a huge part of the infection is. We know our God is in control. Thank you all so much, we love you all.

A note concering Dennis Jinks

    So far as I know all diagnostic testing on Denny has been completed,  and the culprit discovered.  It's amniodorone pulmonary toxicity, an extremely rare condition resulting from the use of the drug amniodorone to treat atrial fibrillation.   He has been on the drug for 8 months.  Treatment will involve fairly high doses of steroids and could take some time.  His oxygen levels will need to be monitored in the home and he will need to have it available.  We are meeting with his primary physician in the morning.  Denny will spend a couple of more days in the hospital here in Birmingham, as his steroid dose is regulated.  Thankful for neighbors looking after the home front.  Denny enjoys phone calls, so feel free to call on his cell.  Thanks again, Hope

PAB 2015

The slideshow on the right is from our most recent PAB at First United Methodist Church in Ozark. What a great night to be a part of this ministry. We had a great turnout and a great program. It was great to see so many be inspired by such a great program.

PAB update

   This is to update all those interested in the status of planning for the 2015 Dale Co. Pastor's Appreciation Banquet. The location for this year's banquet will be the Ozark First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, and will be held on 8 October 2015. The program will begin at 6:30 PM. The keynote speaker will be AL NW-FL Faith Fund Coordinator, Mike Householder from Navarre, FL. along with  Mike's wife Ursula, AL NW-FL Auxiliary Gideon Card Coordinator will bring the Auxiliary report. Deborah Murkerson from Blakely, GA will be the Testimony speaker. Deborah and her husband Jerry will bring the special music. 

    "Save the date" notifications have been mailed to all the Dale Co. area pastors this week. This will be followed up by a letter with more details and encouragement in a couple of weeks. A notification will also be sent shortly to the Dale Co. camp members. 

    Please make the PAB planning, next week's AES&L, as well as the Program Training a matter of prayer. I'll be in Auburn tomorrow (22 Aug) for the 2016 State Convention Steering Committee meeting. Serving Him with you, Don McCall  

Sad loss of Mr. Ed Nelson

Arrangements for Mr Nelson, father of Gene Nelson, are visitation, Sunday afternoon 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM . Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM. All sevices will be held at Fuqua Bankston funeral home. Internment will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on 231.
